Alpine
Anthony Stella Architects has been involved alpine architecture for some years. His father Rene Stella and
a group of close friends constructed the OPAL club lodge at Mt Buller back in the mid sixties. The lodge is still in operation today. Tony Stella completed his final year university thesis on Alpine Architecture and has done further extensions to the OPAL lodge pictured below.
Working in Alpine areas requires quite a degree of specialist knowledge. The research tasks, planning and building approval processes and the work programs allowed are all very strict and particular to working in the High Country environment.
